Samba Classes
What is Samba Craze?
Samba is one of the most exciting and strategic variations of canasta family of games. The objective is to meld cards in groups of seven (canastas) or same suit sequences of seven (sambas) to score points. In this class you will learn how build and close “books” while learning aggressive melding and defensive discarding of cards. You will be taught how to prioritize sambas and other special 2,000 point canastas while managing the discard pile. Learn what is needed to go out each round and how to score the maximum number of points to win the game.

Super Samba Classes
Are you already a Canasta player and love variety and thrive on new challenges with every game? Super Samba is the game for you and builds on the canastas you already know and love. Super Samba adds two new sequences known as the Samba and the Super Samba. The Samba is a series of 7 cards in one suit while the Super Samba is all 11 cards in a suit. This class will teach melding and discard strategies as well as when to declare a samba a super samba. You will also learn how to complete the required book so you can obtain the going out bonus each round. What makes this game so addictive is that after the first round the players choose the requirements for subsequent rounds. The first team to 100,000 points wins.
